We recently shared the news that we're giving empty whisky bottles a second life, thanks to art. But did you know that there's something fun you can do with an empty whisky bottle yourself? For instance, there are wireless rechargeable bottle lamps available.
It's not necessarily cheap, but perhaps something fun to try. You can purchase small lamp shades with a light inside, allowing you to create a lamp from an empty bottle. That way, you can display something creative on your bedside table.
This item is referred to as the Dimmable Wireless Rechargeable Bottle Lamp, and you can find it online, for about thirty euros. It involves an elegant lampshade that can be charged via a USB-C charging cable. This means that the lamp can also be easily set outdoors. Further, the light is dimmable.
Three Light Colours
On top of the head, there's a touch control button and there are three light colours available: warm white, neutral white, and cold white light.
What Colours Are Available?
In total, you can choose from two colours: black or silver. You pay 29.95 euros for two pieces. An individual shade has the following dimensions: 18 x 12 x 12 cm.
Note: bottles are not included
If you decide to make a purchase, keep in mind that you only get the lampshades and not the empty Jack Daniel’s bottles as depicted in the photo. There seems to be some confusion about this.
As one buyer responded:
‘Good lamp shades, but a bit on the pricey side. Solid material, not junk. I thought the bottles were included. Maybe clearly state on the website that it comes without bottles. I’ve put Hertog Jan jug bottles underneath and grinded the bottle top a bit. Looks good in my drinking/darts den.’
Interested in getting one? You can order one here (actually, it's two for the price of one).
