That’s the case right now in Belgium, where Belgian Owl Distillery has had to close its doors. No fewer than 20,600 bottles of whisky are going under the hammer, from powerful 74% ABV expressions to exceptional single-cask bottlings. This could be your last chance to get your hands on a truly special Belgian whisky.
The whisky world is going through a tough time. Some distilleries are struggling, while others have sadly closed for good. For Belgian whisky fans, the end of this well-known brand is a sad moment. Belgian Owl spent years building a reputation for its single malts, but the stills at the distillery have now fallen silent.
Everything at the Belgian distillery is being put up for sale, including its spirit and whisky stocks. For fans of Belgian whisky and collectors of rare bottles, this may be the last chance to pick up a gem from the distillery.

The Private Angels Collector Edition is another standout. This whisky was bottled at cask strength, at 74% ABV. The auction includes lots of four or six bottles from this release, of which only 200 were produced worldwide.
Other highlights include the 11-year-old Vintage No. 08 Single Cask, the Passion Single Cask, and a collection of four different special By Jove Collection editions.

- Hi Yvonne, Thank you for your response and for sharing the video. Unfortunately, the evidence you referred to consists only of two people talking about the whisky, without any explanation or identification. We have not spoken to the individuals in the video ourselves, nor can we verify who they are. We describe it as a Chinese whisky because it is released by a Chinese distillery. As you mentioned, the distillery has chosen to label the product as “pure malt” instead of “Chinese whisky.” Based on that, we do not believe they are doing anything illegal.M0nkey16-11-2025
