Add Whisky Monkeys as a Google favoriteAll good things must come to an end. That also applies to The Macallan's A Night on Earth whisky series. The Scottish distillery is releasing 1 final whisky in the collection: A Night on Earth – The Finale. This is no ordinary finale, but a farewell that takes whisky lovers on a journey to New Orleans.
Over the past few years, The Macallan has celebrated different places around the world with its A Night on Earth series. Traditions, special memories and New Year's celebrations have always been at the heart of the collection. After Scotland, the Spanish city of Jerez de la Frontera and New Zealand, it's now time for the final destination: New Orleans.
What is The Macallan A Night on Earth – The Finale whisky?
The new single malt whisky is inspired by New Year's Eve celebrations in New Orleans. The city is known for its music, colourful festivities and vibrant culture. This fits perfectly with the idea behind the whisky series, which focuses on celebrating special moments together.
For this whisky, The Macallan has used a combination of American and European oak casks that previously held sherry. The combination of these casks is intended to create a flavour profile that brings together sweet, spicy and fruity notes.

Colourful collaboration with artist Hill Spriggins
Just like the previous bottles in the A Night on Earth series, The Macallan has collaborated with an artist on the packaging. This time, the artist is Hill Spriggins, who was born in New Orleans.
The artist drew inspiration from her own memories of New Year's Eve in the American city. The music, colours and sense of togetherness have been incorporated into 3 different artworks featured on the packaging.
The material used for the outer packaging is also special. It has a texture reminiscent of an artist's canvas, allowing the artwork to stand out even more. This makes the bottle interesting not only for whisky enthusiasts, but also for collectors of special Macallan releases.

- Hi Yvonne, Thank you for your response and for sharing the video. Unfortunately, the evidence you referred to consists only of two people talking about the whisky, without any explanation or identification. We have not spoken to the individuals in the video ourselves, nor can we verify who they are. We describe it as a Chinese whisky because it is released by a Chinese distillery. As you mentioned, the distillery has chosen to label the product as “pure malt” instead of “Chinese whisky.” Based on that, we do not believe they are doing anything illegal.M0nkey16-11-2025
