A Premiere at Jim Beam
With their Lineage Batch bourbon series, Jim Beam has bottled a piece of history. Father Fred Noe and son Freddie Noe, two generations of master distillers at the distillery, have worked on a whiskey together for the first time.
Therefore, the Jim Beam Lineage Batch 2 bourbon is the first time Freddie Noe's name appears alongside his father's on a bottle.
Freddie Noe's inscription on the wooden box makes the bourbon even more special.
What is the Jim Beam Lineage Batch 2 bourbon?
The bourbon is a limited release that has been aged for 15 years in charred white oak barrels. The aging took place in the Booker Noe plant that is named after Fred Noe's father (and less formally Freddie Noe's grandfather).
After 15 years, the whiskey was bottled at 111 proof, or 55.5 percent alcohol by volume (ABV). The square bottle comes in a wooden box with the following inscription from Freddie Noe:
'I've been learning our family traditions from dad for years, so I'm honored to finally collaborate with him on what I think is a really unique expression and celebration of our family's heritage.'

Where is the Jim Beam Lineage Batch 2 whiskey available?
To get a bottle of this unique bourbon you will have to visit the distillery in Kentucky. Only there is the bottle available for purchase. The price tag is 250 dollars, equivalent to about 215 euro.
Fun fact: Jim Beam was not founded by Jim Beam, but by Jacob Beam. In fact, there never was a Jim Beam, but the name comes from James B. Beam, a descendant of Jacob Beam.
