What product has Starward released (and which whisky is in it)?
Because
Starward, in collaboration with Chotto Motto, has launched a crispy chili oil on the market, infused with Starward whisky. Specifically, Starward Two-Fold was used for this product, a refined fruity and spiced whisky.
Even though summer is in full swing, Starward is targeting winter with this product. That’s why the term ‘winter snack’ is used.
How can you use this product?
According to Starward, the chili oil is ideal for wintry snacks, such as pork gyoza (why not vegetarian? ed.), homemade pizzas, and more. The oil has the expected character, but it is more fruit driven due to the Starward whisky that has matured in red wine barrels.
Where can you buy Chotto Motto Chilli infused with Starward Whisky?
For us, the product remains delightful to gaze at, as it's available on the distillery's official website for 18.50 Australian dollars. Unfortunately, it cannot be imported to the Netherlands.
Anyone around the distillery sometime soon? We'd love to take a jar off your hands, perfect for experimenting in the kitchen. Our minds already envision a pasta spaghetti aglio e olio integrating Italian and Australian flair. Mama mia!
OK, back to the whisky. While the product itself remains an elusive delicacy, thankfully the same is not true for the whiskies. Plenty of Starward whiskies are available for purchase in the Netherlands and they frequently feature at Dutch festivals, notably at the Salud booth.
