Two striking new Scotch whisky bottlings have recently surfaced in the U.S. TTB database. They’re releases from Bruichladdich and The Glendronach, and in both cases, it’s all about anniversaries. That makes these listings especially interesting for collectors, enthusiasts, and the whisky world at large. While a TTB registration doesn’t confirm an official release, it’s often a strong sign that a launch is near. Time to take a closer look at both potential anniversary editions.
The online TTB database regularly logs new labels for whiskies. Distilleries and producers submit them with an eye on a possible future release. While many of these bottlings hit the shelves soon after, some never make it past the label stage.

Which anniversary whiskies are (possibly) on the way?

Not one but two special anniversary editions are on the horizon. Here they are at a glance:
  • Bruichladdich Greener Still 15 Year Old – 25th Anniversary Edition
  • Glendronach 14 Year Old Boynsmill House Edition – 200th Anniversary

What is the Bruichladdich Greener Still 15 Year Old – 25th Anniversary Edition?

We begin on Islay, at Bruichladdich Distillery. It’s a festive year there, marking the 25th anniversary of the distillery’s revival after Bruichladdich was brought back to life in 2001.
To mark the occasion, the TTB database points to the Bruichladdich Greener Still 15 Year Old. The label reveals this will be a limited edition bottled at 51.6% ABV.
The name 'Greener Still' aligns with Bruichladdich’s philosophy. The distillery has long been committed to sustainability. Exactly what the term entails isn’t clear yet, but hopefully we’ll find out soon.
The label reads 'Connecting Land, Community and Dram,' suggesting this could be a special community-focused release. Further details are scarce, save for one lovely fact: it will be a 15-year-old whisky.

What is The Glendronach 14 Year Old Boynsmill House Edition – 200th Anniversary?

The second listing in the TTB database comes from The Glendronach. This Scottish distillery boasts a much longer history than (the new) Bruichladdich. Founded in 1826, Glendronach will celebrate its 200th anniversary in 2026. To mark the milestone, The Glendronach 14 Year Old Boynsmill House Edition is set to appear.
The name references Boynsmill House, the building that formed the heart of the distillery in 1826. According to the label, this whisky is 14 years old, with the spirit matured in a combination of Oloroso and Pedro Ximénez sherry casks. It then enjoyed a finishing period in red Claret wine casks for added depth and flavor.
Rachel Barrie, Master Blender at The Glendronach, chose this finish to layer in more fruit-forward notes, according to the label. The ABV sits at 46.8%.

When will these gems be released?

Although the labels are in place, it’s not yet clear when the whiskies will be released. The official announcement is still to come. When it lands, we’ll no doubt hear more about the flavor profiles of these single malts.
