Seven Islands Pure Malt Whisky is now a reality. It’s been launched by Tilaknagar Industries, an Indian company. This is a blend featuring single malts from India and Scotland.
The whisky sits firmly in the Indo-Scottish style. Amit Dahanukar, Managing Director of Tilaknagar Industries, says he has high expectations for the brand.
Tilaknagar Industries currently posts annual revenue of 7.8 million, driven by the world’s best-selling brandy.
Earlier this year, Imperial Blue from Pernod Ricard was acquired.
“India’s whisky story is evolving faster than ever, with rising demand for premium and luxury expressions. (…) Seven Islands marks TI’s entry into this dynamic category, bringing together Indian craftsmanship and global expertise to create a whisky that is distinctly Indian yet globally competitive.”
