WhistlePig unveils 30-year-old single malt with Italian maturation

Following old whisky releases such as The Béhôlden and The Badönkådonk, WhistlePig makes another statement with the BigSheBang. The oldest whisky of the distillery was 25 years, but now it is surpassed by a whisky that is 5 years older.
Meghan Ireland, Chief Blender at WhistlePig, emphasizes that it's not just about the years in the cask but also about the craftsmanship that goes into every drop of whiskey.
Nonetheless, the cask adds a lot to this edition, according to Ireland.
'It’s a barrel we’ve never seen used in North American whiskey, and it takes the whiskey in a direction that feels both bold and incredibly delicious.'
