Attackers Doused a Man with Whisky in Belgium

In the center of Halle (Belgium), a strikingly violent attack took place on Friday evening. On Basiliekstraat, a 43-year-old man was suddenly set upon by three attackers. Sadly, whisky played a painful part here, far from what a fine bottle of whisky is meant for.

The victim was walking down the street when the three men jumped him from behind. He was forced to the ground immediately, where he then received multiple hard kicks to the head. The attack was swift, targeted, and extraordinarily aggressive.

As if the assault itself weren’t shocking enough, the perpetrators then poured a bottle of whisky over the victim. That detail makes the case particularly notable and raises questions about the motive. Was it meant as a humiliation? A deliberate signal? Why was a bottle of whisky poured over him?

The man was badly beaten but, according to police, not in life-threatening condition. As a precaution, he was taken to the hospital. Police in the area actively searched for the attackers but were unable to find anyone.

The three assailants managed to escape and are currently still at large. Police hope that witnesses or camera footage will provide more clarity.

Initial indications suggest it may have been a settling of scores within the criminal milieu. Even so, police emphasize that this is not yet certain. Further investigation will have to reveal who orchestrated the attack and what the exact motive was.
