Ardbeg whisky enthusiasts better start packing because a unique journey is about to transpire. Ardbeg House in Port Ellen is on the verge of opening its doors. The whisky hotel is officially opened.
In 2022, Ardbeg decided to purchase the then Islay Hotel. The aim was to establish the ultimate encounter for Ardbeg whisky lovers: Ardbeg House. A few years have since passed, but that experience is suddenly getting a whole lot closer. Ardbeg House is practically ready for the first guest arrivals.
Currently, the finishing touches are being given to the Ardbeg Hotel, which, according to the whisky brand, is set to stimulate all the senses of whisky lovers on Islay.

Eat, (Whisky) Drink, and Stay at Ardbeg House

Ardbeg House features a total of twelve rooms, all boasting unique concepts. Each room unravels one of the many peculiar tales about Ardbeg, Islay, and legends from the famous whisky island. Ardbeg is still keeping the specifics of these stories under wraps, but it promises to be 'the ultimate Arbeggian destination'.
The names of the rooms have already been disclosed:
  • The Feis Room
  • The Illicit Room
  • The Founders Room
  • The Smoke Room
  • The Wild Room
  • The Legend Room
  • The Monster Room
  • The Untamed Room
  • The Invention Room
  • The Creation Room
  • The Wee Beastie Room
  • The Rebel Room
Another detail about the hotel has also been revealed: the heart of Ardbeg House is an Islay bay. This spot boasts an array of Ardbeg whiskies for guests to indulge in their favorite whisky. For the rest it's up to you to go see how the hotel looks like.

Whisky rooms are going like hotcakes

Those looking to book a room at Ardbeg House can do so from late September. At the time of writing, rooms are still available. But be quick, as already several rooms have been reserved this month and are no longer available. For instance, the Wee Beastie room and the Rebel Room are already booked out for September.
