Tamdhu drops a 'sherry bomb' in Travel Retail

Just after the summer holidays, Tamdhu Distillery gives us a reason to hit the road again. Especially for Travel Retail, a special whisky is available for the connoisseurs: the Tamdhu Gran Reserva V Limited Edition whisky.

Like all other Tamdhu whiskies, the whisky has been aged in Oloroso sherry barrels from Jerez. For this edition, a special selection of first-fill European oak barrels was used.

In these barrels, the whisky underwent its complete maturation process. This has given the whisky not just a deeper color, but also a richer, spicier flavor.

What are the tasting notes of the Tamdhu Gran Reserva V whisky?

The new single malt whisky from Tamdhu has been given the following tasting notes:

Nose: Elegant spices, butterscotch, and toasted almonds.

Palate: Full of oak, fresh orange zest, and aromatic nutmeg.

Finish: Long and smooth, with hints of cinnamon, cocoa, and creamy buttercream.

The whisky is bottled at 46 percent alcohol by volume (ABV).
