Roe & Co has launched a new whiskey in its collection: the Roe and Co Signature Blend. The new blend is targeted at individuals who want something that's easy to drink and fits for every occasion. But what is it?

An combination of grain and malt whiskey

The Roe & Co Signature Blend is a blend of Irish grain and malt whiskies. It was sourced from various Irish partner distilleries and produced at the Roe & Co Distillery in Dublin.

The whiskey is then blended and matured in bourbon barrels, which usually brings out sweeter flavours in the spirit. It also contributes to a milder flavour profile. The distillery says that the product becomes a whiskey that can be consumed independently and in mixed drinks.

Inspired by the Roe family tradition

The whiskey is inspired by George Roe, whose historic Dublin distillery once produced some of the most recognised Irish whiskey of its time.

Roe & Co has not stopped using that legacy of George Roe to make new expressions, and this Signature Blend is no exception. What makes the blend unique is that its style is more modern.

The Signature Blend can be consumed in various ways. Either neat, on ice, or in cocktails.

Tasting Notes

Nose: Sweet aromas of vanilla, caramel and cinnamon, followed by soft scents of stone fruits.
Taste: Tones of caramel and baking spices, with hints of toasted peach and a light, dry woodiness.
Finish: Smooth and warming, slowly becoming drier, with hints of burnt sugar and fruit.

The whiskey is bottled at 40% ABV.

Availability and Price

Roe & Co Signature Blend was launched in early March and is now available in Ireland for 29 euros. It is stocked at the large retailers such as Tesco, BWG, and Dunnes Stores, and at the Roe and Co Distillery located in Dublin. The distillery is also organising an Irish Coffee workshop during the St Patrick's festival between the 16th and 18th of March.
