Lowlands whisky aficionados can once again have something to look forward to while travelling. The Scottish Rosebank distillery has launched a third release in their vintage series. The new single malt whisky hails from 1991 and will be exclusively available in Travel Retail.

Rosebank is up for its third bottling in the Vintage Release series. The 32 and 29-year-old whiskies from 1990 are wjoined by a single malt from 1991. The new whisky is 33 years old and extremely scarce in quantity. Only 350 bottles have been filled.

What is the Rosebank Vintage Release Three whisky?

The whisky is one of the last remaining bottles from the old distillery stock. The type of barrels the whisky was aged in has not been disclosed. However, the official tasting notes reveal the flavor profile of the new single malt whisky. These are shown below:
  • Nose: Rich exotic fruits, rosehip, and lavender.
  • Palate: Soft notes of oakwood, orange, and chocolate éclairs.
  • Finish: A gently drying combination of oak, fruit, and spices.
The whisky is bottled at 47.5% alcohol by volume (ABV).

Special tube for the enthusiast

The Rosebank whisky comes housed in a deep-red tube with a golden base. Each of the packaging and the bottle itself is numbered.
The Rosebank Vintage 1991 whisky is exclusive to Travel Retail and will be offered at three airports: Edinburgh, London Heathrow, and Singapore Changi Airport. The price per bottle is 3900 pounds.
At Heathrow Airport, a special event celebrating the official release is scheduled for the 6th of November, between 10:00 and 14:00. Neil Bulloch, the manager of Rosebank Distillery, will be present to partake in a dram with enthusiasts.
