The GlenAllachie Sherry Series was launched in 2024 to showcase how different sherry casks shape the character of the distillery’s spirit.

Rather than blending multiple cask types, the distillery deliberately gives each release a secondary maturation in one specific sherry cask style. That way, the cask’s personality can shine through in the whisky. This time, the spotlight is on Palo Cortado.

For this expression, The GlenAllachie first matured the whisky in American oak ex-bourbon barrels, then transferred it to Palo Cortado casks for a secondary maturation. Altogether, the whisky aged for 11 years before being bottled at 48% alcohol by volume (ABV).
