There are quite a few whisky glasses on the market, think of a Glencairn glass, copita, neat, but also a simple tumbler. The choice is vast! But which whisky glass or glasses does the editorial team use? You can read all about it in a new

I have different glasses in the cupboard that I use for different whiskies and amounts. If I take a very small amount of whisky, I opt for a tasting glass (a tulip). This is also my favorite at tastings.

Glencairn is always a good choice, so I reach for it regularly. Particularly if the whisky can be drunk a bit warmer, it easily heats up in my hands. For high-alcohol percentages or if I'm savoring a whisky for the evening, I prefer using a blender's glass.

After a bit of experimenting, I usually stick with the well-known
Glencairn glass. This glass fits wonderfully in the hand and its shape allows for a thorough analysis of the aroma. Only for a cold whisky cola do I reach for a lemonade glass.

I have a small tulip glass for when I want to taste a new whisky. For regular drinking, I use a tumbler so I can pour all I want to drink at once. I have other whisky glasses too, but these are by far the most used ones.

My favorite glass is the Copita model. It has a longer stem and therefore you can hold it better than the standard "tulip" tasting glass. Moreover, this glass gives more room to swirl your whisky to enhance its fragrance.
Because this is a rather delicate glass, I resort to the Glencairn glass as an alternative. For tastings with more than 15 participants, the previously mentioned standard tulip tasting glass is my preferred option.
