Campbeltown is about to welcome a new whisky distillery. Witchburn Distillery is all but finished and is now looking for whisky lovers to become co-owners. Brave New Spirits, the founders of the distillery, want to bring a small group of investors on board as Founding Partners. Here’s what it costs and what you get in return.
Fans of whisky and Scotland can now quite literally become part of a brand-new whisky story. Witchburn Distillery is seeking up to 20 investors to each take a 1 percent stake in the distillery. This isn’t a typical cask program, it’s a genuine ownership share in a Campbeltown Scotch whisky producer.

Scottish distillery seeks Founding Partners

If you want to come on board, the buy-in is £300,000 in exchange for your share of the distillery. Beyond the equity, you’ll receive additional benefits. Here they are at a glance:
  • For 5 years, 4 casks annually of Witchburn new make spirit, including leakage guarantee, storage, and insurance
  • Exclusive Founding Partner bottlings
  • Recognition in company documents
  • Invitations to the annual shareholders’ gathering, including warehouse visits
  • Access to the distillery, including private visits and private tours
  • A personalized welcome package

Exit with guaranteed profit

Notably, Witchburn also offers an exit option. After 5 years, Founding Partners can choose to sell their stake back for £400,000. That means a potential profit of £100,000 over five years, on top of the other benefits. Those who wish to stay involved can remain co-owners of the distillery.
Witchburn Distillery is being built in Campbeltown. It aims to be the first new distillery in the region in decades. The new distillery intends to craft a true Campbeltown-style whisky: think rich, fruity, and complex spirit, the very profile that put the region on the map.
At the same time, Witchburn aims to be a modern distillery. According to Brave New Spirits, the goal is to produce without reliance on fossil fuels. Once this funding round is complete, installation of the equipment can be finalized. Production could then begin within a few months. Witchburn’s planned capacity is 2.7 million liters of alcohol per year.
