The famous Ballantine’s bottle has been reimagined quite a few times. Sometimes it was for a game like Borderlands and other times a musical legend was highlighted in the True Icons series.

This latter whisky series has now been expanded with an eclectic duo of new bottles. Namely, the whisky brand pays tribute to Gorillaz and KISS: two bands that have made music history in their own unique ways.

Paul-Andre Vacheron, marketing director at Ballantine’s explains that the whisky series does not just feature any artists on the bottle. They must truly be icons in the world of music.

We celebrate artists who defy conventions. Gorillaz is a perfect example of this.

Special designs for Ballantine’s bottles for Gorillaz and KISS fans

The bottles not only have a unique design that will appeal to whisky enthusiasts. Fans of the two bands will also relish the Ballantine’s designs.

The Ballantine’s True Icons Gorillaz whisky features a never-before-seen illustration by Jamie Hewlett, the artist behind Gorillaz. The virtual band members Murdoc, 2D, Russel, and Noodle can be seen on the label.

The KISS bottle draws inspiration from the Destroyer album cover. The timing for this band is not entirely coincidental as KISS is celebrating the 50-year anniversary of the KISS Army this year.

Where can the new Ballantine’s True Icons bottles be purchased?

The new Ballantine’s Gorillaz and KISS bottles will be on the shelves from October. These are two limited edition versions that will only be sold for a short time. The price per bottle has not been announced.
