It’s January, which means Burns Night is just around the corner. Whisky makers are cleverly tapping into the moment with special events. Fable Whisky is no exception, teaming up with Lost Shore Surf Resort for a one-of-a-kind whisky experience.
During Burns Night, Fable Whisky brings together gastronomy, whisky, and Scottish tradition. The independent bottler has partnered with Lost Shore Surf Resort to host a Burns Night Dinner featuring drams, traditional dishes, and live music.

What are Fable Whisky’s plans for Burns Night?

The celebration takes place at Lost Kitchen, the resort’s new restaurant. Guests will be welcomed with a specially crafted whisky cocktail, followed by an art and whisky showcase where storytelling, flavor, and visuals come together.
Guests are welcome from 6:00 p.m. on 24 January. Dinner begins at 7:00 p.m. Tickets are priced at £50 per person, making the event accessible to a wide audience seeking an authentic Burns Night experience in Scotland.

Culinary innovation meets Scottish tradition

At the heart of the evening is the resort’s new food concept, Lost Food, which brings all hospitality operations fully in-house at Lost Shore Surf Resort for the first time.
Culinary direction is led by chef and hospitality consultant Jason Wright, who blends international experience with local ingredients and traditions. He has created a menu that gives classic Burns Night dishes a contemporary interpretation with a modern twist.
Think whisky-cured salmon served with soda bread and chive crème fraîche. The main course features haggis with neeps and tatties, finished with a rich whisky sauce. A full vegetarian alternative is available so everyone can join the celebration.
For dessert, a modern cranachan inspired by Fable Whisky pairs white chocolate mousse with candied oats. The evening rounds off with coffee, tea, and house-made whisky fudge, before a traditional ceilidh brings music, dancing, and a lively atmosphere.
Bookings can be made via the Lost Shore website.
