Glencadam whisky range
Butterbeer may be the staple drink of the Wizarding World of Harry Potter, but these magical vibes are also now with Glencadam whiskies. The Scottish distillery has just updated the package designs for three of its cask finish whisky range.
The Glencadam Reserva Andalucía Oloroso Sherry Cask Finish, the Reserva de Porto Tawny Tawny Port Cask Finish, and the Reserva de Porto Branco White Port Cask Finish all have a new label and it nods to the Harry Potter Wizarding World. The updated packaging features hand-drawn images from an artist known for his work for the “Harry Potter” novels.

New whisky package designs and the return of two whiskies

The Glencadam whiskies in the bottles remain unchanged, so only the vidual part has changed the distillery mentions. With the new packaging the distillery also brings back two fan favorites: The Glencadam Tawny Port and White Port finish.
Iain Forteath, Glencadam’s Master Blender, mentions the return of these whiskies in the new packaging is great to see. In total three cask finished whiskies are getting the new look.
  • Glencadam Reserva Andalucía Oloroso Sherry Cask Finish: Indulge in the blend of bourbon and Oloroso casks, which deliver that fruity, spiced, and sherry-rich single malt whisky.
  • Glencadam Reserva de Porto Tawny Tawny Port Cask Finish: A whisky rich, smooth, fruity, expertly crafted small batches.
  • Glencadam Reserva de Porto Branco White Port Cask Finish: Bourbon-matured then White Port finished for that fruity, creamy, spiced single malt, irresistible taste.

Designed by a ‘Harry Potter’ artist

What’s even more exciting is that this updated packaging features hand-drawn illustrations by Andrew Davidson, known for his work on the “Harry Potter” novel series.
Davidson is an English illustrator responsible for the art of the adult editions of “Harry Potter” in 2013, through wood engravings. He took up Graphic Design and graduated from the Royal College of Art in London in 1982. For the three Glencadam whiskies, his artwork interprets the distillery as it would have looked in 1825. Quite stunning.
Forteath is happy with the new packaging as it shows the hard work that went into the whisky.
'It’s great to see them reintroduced in refreshed packaging that better reflects their quality and character.'
- Glencadam’s Master Blender, Iain Forteath
These packaging design updates follow Glencadam’s bicentenary celebrations.
