Ardbeg seems to have its exclusive Committee bottling for 2026 lined up. The popular Ardbeg Ten whisky, according to a recent label, is set to undergo a cask strength edition. This variant of the whisky will be significantly more potent than the standard version that is bottled at 46 percent.
The alcohol percentage of the Ardbeg Ten Cask Strength Committee Release is, in fact, 61.7 percent alcohol by volume (ABV).
What is the Ardbeg Ten Cask Strength whisky going to be like?
According to the label, the whisky will not be much different from the normal edition (apart from the alcohol percentage). The iconic whisky continues to mature for ten years in American ex-bourbon barrels and remains heavily peated.
There isn't much about the tasting notes on the label. However, what it does reveal is an array of aromas including peat, sea breeze, and a natural sweetness.
This leaves a lot to the imagination regarding what this
Islay whisky is going to do to the taste buds.
When is the Ardbeg Ten Cask Strength whisky coming out?
As always, the label does not disclose the exact release date of the whisky. But there is a clue. It's listed as the Committee Release 2026. That means the whisky will make its debut sometime next year.
This also speaks to the sales outlets. It will likely be limited to the Ardbeg Embassies worldwide and the Ardbeg Committee page.
