St. Kilian Marks 10 Years of Whisky With St. Patrick’s Day Single Cask Release

German distillery St. Kilian Distillers has unveiled a special limited edition whisky to celebrate St. Patrick’s Day 2026 and a major milestone in its history. The release marks exactly 10 years since the distillery began producing whisky in 2016 and comes just in time for the Irish holiday. No need to say this is an Irish style whisky.

The new bottling, St. Kilian St. Patrick’s Day Edition 2026, is a single malt single cask whisky inspired by traditional Irish whiskey styles. With only 398 bottles available worldwide, the release is expected to appeal strongly to collectors and fans of rare European whiskies.

St. Kilian continues to build its reputation by producing Irish-style single malt whisky using traditional methods. This new release was distilled from 100% Pilsner malt and produced in copper pot stills with a full reflux condenser.

This distillation approach is designed to create a lighter and more refined spirit, resulting in a smooth, fruit-forward profile. The method reflects the influence of Irish whiskey production, which has been a key inspiration for the German distillery since its founding.

The St. Patrick’s Day Edition 2026 was matured for seven years in a new 190-litre American white oak cask. Using fresh oak allows the whisky to develop a sweeter and more pronounced flavor profile, with clear notes of vanilla and subtle caramel.

Bottled at 46% ABV, the whisky is non-chill-filtered and contains no added coloring. This ensures that the natural character of the spirit is preserved, something that whisky enthusiasts increasingly value.

On the nose, the whisky opens with fresh fruit aromas, including pear, apricot, and peach. These notes carry through to the palate, where they are balanced by gentle vanilla sweetness and light butterscotch.

The finish is long and smooth, with lingering fruit, caramel, and a soft touch of oak. Overall, the whisky delivers a refined and approachable profile that aligns well with its Irish-style inspiration.

The St. Kilian St. Patrick’s Day Edition 2026 is released in a 0.5-litre bottle with a retail price of 49,90 euros. With only 398 bottles produced, availability is extremely limited.

The whisky was available directly through the St. Kilian Distillers website, but demand is expected to be high due to the small batch size and anniversary significance. Unfortunately the whisky is gone already.
