Glen Morangie Harrison Ford Edition (1)
We already knew it was coming: the unique collaboration between Glenmorangie and Harrison Ford has resulted in a remarkable single malt whisky. During the filming of Once Upon a Time in Scotland, Ford visited the distillery in the Scottish Highlands, where he sampled exclusive casks alongside Master Distiller Dr Bill Lumsden and Master Blender Gillian Macdonald. His enthusiasm became the inspiration for a whisky crafted entirely with him in mind.

Highland single malt whisky with a unique character

This new Glenmorangie limited edition combines classic bourbon cask maturation with a rare finish in toasted Portuguese red wine casks. The result is a refined Highland single malt whisky with depth and contrast. The first impression is fresh and vibrant, with notes of citrus and honeysuckle. This evolves into a more complex profile: smooth, elegant, and at the same time featuring a surprising ‘bite’.
This flavor profile reflects Harrison Ford’s personality: approachable, yet layered and full of character. It makes this whisky not only appealing to collectors, but also to lovers of high-quality Scotch single malts.
Ford himself joked to the distillery team that he would stick to acting, as they are clearly better at making whisky.

What does the Glenmorangie Harrison Ford whisky taste like?

The aroma opens with lively citrus notes reminiscent of orange marmalade, complemented by floral hints such as jasmine and honeysuckle. Subtle touches of beeswax and candle wax add depth. With a few drops of water, softer aromas emerge, including peach blossom and vanilla.
On the palate, the signature ‘bite’ becomes immediately apparent. Citrus notes of Seville orange, lemon, and grapefruit dominate at first, followed by softer layers of baked bread, apricot, muscovado sugar, and buttery caramel. The balance between freshness and warmth makes this whisky highly versatile.
The Glenmorangie Harrison Ford Limited Edition has an ABV of 46.5%.

Final chapter of the campaign

This limited edition whisky also marks the final chapter of the Once Upon a Time in Scotland series. In the 13th and final episode, once again directed by Joel Edgerton, Harrison Ford returns for a reflective moment. Filmed in Wyoming, he tastes the final result and delivers his verdict:
'It’s nice. It’s very nice.'
