Tullibardine’s Drops a Tenth Whisky in this Ongoing Series and it's a Strong One

Tullibardine Distillery has expanded its Marquess Collection with a brand-new expression, named The Murray 2013 Cask Strength. The new whisky is releasing in the UK first, but rolls out pretty to other parts of the world.

First distilled in 2013 and bottled in 2026, The Marquess Collection embodies the iconic foundations of the distillery. The whisky does something the rest of the series doesn't: it has an unusual high ABV.

The Marquess Collection a strong tenth edition

The Cask Strength Edition is the latest in an ongoing series of the Scottish distillery. In the Marquess Collection there were already nine editions before the cask strength was bottled. This one makes the tenth single malt whisky in de range.

Mike Elliott, the distillery’s general manager, recognizes the popularity of this range since it was first launched.

'Our cask-strength Murray editions have been popular since the range was launched, offering our customers the chance to experience the distillery’s character at full strength from first-fill bourbon barrels. It’s something we are frequently asked for, and we hope this expression will be well received by our loyal following.'

The result is the Tullibardine The Murray 2013 Cask Strength, featuring the following tasting notes:

Nose: Aromas of vanilla pods, creamy custard, roasted barley malt, and light biscuit notes.
Palate: Flavors of buttery toffee, honeycomb, dark fruit undertones, toasted oak, nuts, and a subtle woody spice.
Finish: Fades in a clean, slightly spicy, oak-driven way, with a sweet citrus-caramel echo rather than heavy smoke or bitterness.

The whisky is bottled at a cask strength of 56,1% ABV.

Where to buy the new Tullibardine Marquess Collection whisky?

The Marquess Collection The Murray Cask Strength 2013 is a limited edition. A total of 9,800 bottles have been produced.

In the UK, where it has now been released, the bottle, presented in a sturdy outer carton, retails for 60 pounds. The edition will be rolled out internationally later this year.
