With Track 07, Turntable Spirits has kick-started the third set of limited-edition whiskies. Like its predecessors, Track 07 channels an iconic song that the company founders hold dear: Born to Be Wild by Steppenwolf from 1968.
The song not only defines the brand but also the whisky. The new blend from Turntable primarily brings together various younger brands into one tasteful whole.

What is the composition of Turntable Track 07 whisky?

The new blended whisky consists of the following whiskies:
  • 37% Ardnamurchan Peated Sherry Butt
  • 16% Lochlea 1st fill bourbon cask
  • 15% Nc'Nean 1st fill bourbon cask
  • 18% Raasay peated Chinkapin cask
The remaining 14% is grain whisky from Port Dundas, aged in a refill bourbon cask.

What does the Turntable Track 07 whisky taste like?

Born to Be Wild has not received the extensive tasting notes we usually see. However, there is a description of the whisky on the Turntable Spirits website:
'A smoky-sweet dram of sea spray and campfire, layered with teriyaki and the richness of bacon. Warming spices lead to a smooth finish of cream, peach, and barley biscuits.'
The whisky is bottled at 53 percent alcohol by volume (ABV).

Where can you buy the Turntable Track 07 whisky?

The new Turntable whisky is limited edition. Only 1800 bottles have been made for worldwide release. The bottle has a price of 94.95 Euros in the Turntable webshop. The whisky will also be found on the shelves of a select few liquor stores.
