The whisky year 2026 is shaping up to be a beauty, with countless releases to savor. Which whiskies can we expect for sure? Here are 5 bottlings that enthusiasts and collectors are watching with extra interest this year.
The Macallan Harmony Collection – Inspired by Fresh Coconut
We kick off with a whisky that’s almost certain to hit the shelves this year:
The Macallan Harmony Collection delivers a new edition annually.
Known not only for its many collaborations, this Macallan range has also become a byword for sustainability, design, and flavor innovation. With the Inspired by Fresh Coconut edition,
The Macallan promises something special once again.
According to the label, the whisky is matured in a combination of sherry-seasoned casks and ex-bourbon barrels, resulting in a strikingly fresh and creamy profile.
Its release date remains unknown.
Glenmorangie A Tale of…
Another series that returns every year is
Glenmorangie’s A Tale of… range. With it, Glenmorangie has created a collection where stories, memories, and places take center stage. What the next Glenmorangie whisky in the series will be is still under wraps.
What is clear is that you’ll once again be taken on a journey to a world rich in imagination and detail.
Glenmorangie often experiments here with multiple cask types, including carefully selected wine and oak casks, to craft a layered and expressive character.

Glenfiddich Formula 1 whisky
Whisky and F1 have been a perfect pairing since last year. Several brands have dived into the sport, including
Glenfiddich. From the partnership between Glenfiddich and Aston Martin, we expect a new whisky this year.
Whether it’ll be a very old limited edition remains to be seen, but it’s hard to imagine nothing coming out of the Speyside distillery this year.
A possible 90-year-old Single Malt Scotch
This could be the year we see a 90-year-old whisky. Last year,
Gordon & MacPhail made history with The Glenlivet 1940 85 Year Old, the oldest single malt ever released.
It would be among the oldest whiskies in the independent bottler’s warehouses. Naturally, that begs the question: are there even older casks that have survived the wait, perhaps a 90-year-old whisky?
The Glendronach – 200th Anniversary whisky
A
label for a special The
Glendronach whisky surfaced recently. The distillery turns 200 this year, and they’re celebrating with whisky.
The release indicated on the label is a 14-year-old single malt, about which we still know very little. Does the distillery have more surprises to unveil this year?
