Buchanan’s has beautifully bottled something unique. The new Green Seal whisky fuses a heretofore undisclosed Glen Elgin single malt with an untried wine yeast. The result is a whisky that weaves fruit and chocolate on the palate.

Buchanan’s Combines Unreleased Whisky with A Unique Yeast Variety

Buchanan’s new whisky is a blend of Glen Elgin single malt whisky and something the distillery has experimented with: wine yeast. Typically, the distillery did not work with wine yeast, until now.
The distillery team has specially revamped the recipe for Green Seal to create a fruitier blended whisky like never before. The whisky has matured in American ex-bourbon casks.

What does Buchanan’s Green Seal whisky taste like?

The blended whisky has been blessed with a comprehensive flavour profile that emphasizes the fruitiness of the blend. The whisky's taste is described with notes of tropical fruit, citrus, apricot jam, sweet vanilla, and warm wood spices. Also, there's a hint of creamy milkchocolate on the palate.
The whisky is bottled at 40 percent alcohol by volume (ABV).

A Bottle to Savor

The bottle of the Buchanan’s Green Seal whisky is stunning. The bottle's shape is designed to resemble a wax seal, bearing the Buchanan’s logo. The bottle is entirely green with a few golden accents and a large wooden cap.

Where to buy Buchanan’s Green Seal whisky?

Where Buchanan’s will offer its new Green Seal whisky for sale is yet to be announced. The whisky maker offers an online zipcode checker to locate sales outlets online and offline. However, it seems to register no results at various tested locations.
The Buchanan's Green Seal bottle has already appeared online at various places. The price of a bottle of the blended whisky is around 100 euros.
