What pairs perfectly with summer weather? An exotic whisky. Diageo knows exactly how to deliver, because there’s a new Johnnie Walker release. Fair warning: this is one you’ll be craving before you even taste it.
It’s Johnnie Walker Blue Label Azure, which has been unveiled. This limited and exclusive whisky is available only in travel retail. The launch clearly taps into that summer travel vibe, aimed at jet-setters looking to bring home something special from their holidays.

A summery twist on an iconic blend

For this new expression, master blender Emma Walker crafted a lighter, fresher take on the famed Blue Label. While the classic is renowned for its depth and complexity, Azure leans into brighter, more coastal flavors.
The flavor profile weaves together notes of citrus, orchard fruits, gentle smoke, and a subtle sweetness.
According to Walker, the whisky opens up in the glass into a smooth, balanced finish reminiscent of a fresh sea breeze. Thanks to its light, slightly oily texture, it pairs beautifully with seafood.
So invite some friends over for a proper meal, cook up a gorgeous Spanish seafood paella. And guess which whisky we’re recommending alongside it?
Exactly: this Johnnie Walker Blue Label Azure.

Available exclusively at airports worldwide

If you’re keen to get your hands on a bottle, your best bet is to browse at the airport. The first launch kicks off in May at Heathrow Airport, in partnership with Avolta UK.
A wider roll-out will follow at major international hubs including Changi Airport, Incheon International Airport, Hong Kong International Airport, and airports in Paris, Nice, and beyond. The recommended price is around 320 pounds, which is roughly 370 euros.

Luxurious design with a sustainable edge

While flavor is usually front and center with whisky, we have to talk about the bottle, because it’s a stunner. The ocean-inspired design was created by Colombian designer Johanna Ortiz. Notably, the bottle is made entirely from 100% recycled glass, aligning with Diageo’s broader sustainability strategy.
