Whisky lives up to its name
Old Pulteney Distillery is located on the coast, in the town of Wick in the north of Caithness, in the Highlands of
Scotland. So what better way to honour a new whisky than by naming it after the harbour?
That's what happened with this new bottle, which is bottled at 40% alcohol by volume.
What does the whisky taste like?
The tasting notes of Old Pulteney are as follows:
- Nose: Vanilla and coconut, rich citrus from marmalade and mandarin, lemon cake, and a spicy undertone of fresh oak.
- Palate: Raisins, tropical fruit, dark notes of hot coffee and fresh tobacco leaves.
- Finish: Fruit and spice notes with a soft sea water touch from Old Pulteney.
