The distillery that started in the 1800s is making your trips abroad even more memorable. It is launching tasting bars in major airports across the globe. The star is its 12 Year Old single malt Laphroaig whisky.

Laphroaig is rolling our its tasting bars that are designed to drive interest and engagement, then convert these into purchases. These tasting events and shows are very prevalent in the United States, for instance.

Now, drink enthusiasts can experience these tastings while they are waiting for their flight at the airport. The first tasting bar is already openend in France. This April and May, more tasting bars are launching in Taipei, Seoul, Delhi, Mumbai, and Beijing.

All About Laphroaig 12 Year Old Whisky

The star of this traveler’s tasting show is Laphroaig 12 Year Old, known for its natural color, as it is fully matured in American oak ex-Bourbon.

Its aroma features mellow notes of vanilla, crusty pastry, hazelnut, dried orange peel, and hints of ginger, plus lemongrass to complete the vibe. The taste has hints of stone fruit, thyme, liquorice root, aniseed, and herbal thyme, thus giving off a finish that’s sweet and powerful.
