All good things must come to an end, and this includes the unique Wild Turkey Master’s Keep whiskey series. The distillery has unveiled one last bottle that brings the series to a total of eleven releases.

After ten years and countless iconic releases, the beloved bourbon saga: Wild Turkey Master’s Keep comes to a close. The very last release is called Beacon, a collaboration between the father-son duo, Eddie and Bruce Russell. Trust us: this final chapter truly does justice to the entire series.

Wild Turkey kicked off a whiskey saga filled with special bottles holding extra significance for the distillers in 2015. The Master’s Keep whiskey series concludes after ten years and eleven releases with one final bottle: Beacon.

Eddie Russell admits he never anticipated his whiskey journey to have such a grand scale. The series started ten years ago with a 17-year-old bourbon. Even the distillers weren't sure how long the series would last.

What is the Wild Turkey Master’s Keep Beacon whiskey?

The final bottle has been christened Wild Turkey Master’s Keep Beacon and is crafted in a special way. Both Eddie Russell, master distiller at Wild Turkey, and Bruce Russell, Master Blender, selected a bourbon for this bottle.

Eddie went for an older bourbon from 2007, while Bruce opted for a younger variant from 2015. The latter was one of the first bourbons father and son made in collaboration with grandfather Jimmy Russell. Therefore, this new bourbon spans three generations within Wild Turkey.

The whiskey has notes of dark fruit and cherries on the nose, and hits of vanilla, honey, oak, and toffee on the palate. The finish reveals nuances of oak and leather. The whiskey is bottled at 118 proof.
