Did you know there are special Bud Spencer and Terence Hill whiskies?

Sometimes a whisky comes with a fitting tribute. In Germany, there’s a distillery honoring two action heroes from countless films with their very own whisky range. Did you know there are Bud Spencer and Terence Hill whiskies?

When you think of iconic film duos, it’s hard not to picture Bud Spencer and Terence Hill. They rose to fame through their comedic spaghetti westerns and action films, packed with brawls and bravado.

Both Bud Spencer and Terence Hill are Italian, yet they became true legends in Germany. So it’s no surprise that a German distillery decided to pay tribute. And not just any tribute: the pair now have their own whisky series.

The German St. Killian Distillers has created a dedicated whisky line for the film heroes, crafted to reflect the traits of their characters. Both action stars also appear on their respective bottles.

Bud Spencer’s “The Legend” series features an unpeated blended whisky with a gentle character, alongside a smoky, full-bodied expression. Both are composed of whiskies matured in ex-Amarone casks and American ex-bourbon barrels.

The Terence Hill “The Hero” set combines whiskies from ex-rum casks with an Irish whiskey matured in American ex-bourbon barrels. This range also comes in two styles: one mild and one smoky.

Beyond the whiskies, St. Killian Distillers has released other drinks celebrating the duo. Bud Spencer even has a Banana Joe liqueur, named after one of his celebrated roles.

Terence Hill has his own liqueur as well. It features a hazelnut flavor and a fitting name, “Voll auf die Nuss” (“Right on the nut”), a nod to the slapstick-style fight scenes in many of Hill’s films.
