The GlenAllachie Distillery has unveiled a groundbreaking release in the world of Meikle Tòir whisky, though chances are you won’t get to taste it. These are the brand’s very first single cask bottlings, and the first release sold out almost instantly.

Meikle Tòir Oloroso Hogshead #8729 sold out incredibly quickly

The online-exclusive Meikle Tòir single cask release, Oloroso Hogshead #8729, is a 6 year old whisky with the following tasting profile:

Nose: Soft tobacco, fig, and orange.
Palate: Gingerbread, honeycomb, and smoked fruit.
Finish: Not revealed

This limited release consisted of only 357 bottles, all of which sold out within minutes of launch.

Can you still get the Meikle Tòir PX Sherry Hogshead #11569?

The GlenAllachie Meikle Tòir PX Sherry Hogshead #11569 is a slightly older expression, aged 7 years in the warehouse in Aberlour. It was matured in a first-fill Pedro Ximénez hogshead, numbered 11569.

Here are the tasting notes:

Nose: Fig jam, heather honey and campfire smoke.
Palate: Orange peel, mocha and marzipan, with an undertone of warm smoke.
Finish: Not revealed

Only 355 bottles were released, and there’s still a good chance you can find one. The whisky is sold exclusively at the GlenAllachie Distillery shop in Scotland.
