The New Macallan Harmony Collection Whisky has a Coconut Twist

The Macallan has now released five sets in the Harmony Collection. Each series is a collaboration with a different partner, giving a distinctive twist to the renowned Speyside whisky.
Themes have ranged from chocolate and coffee to oak, nature, and tea. Next year brings a new release, and this whisky appears to be taking on a tropical flair. A new label has surfaced in the online TTB database.

What will The Macallan Harmony VI series be?
The new label for The Macallan Harmony Collection features a pale green tone reminiscent of coconut. The whisky is said to be developed in collaboration with Timespirit Dining Experience and to feature a combination of maturations.
It reportedly draws from sherry-seasoned casks alongside casks that previously held bourbon. Bottling is expected at 46.3% alcohol by volume (ABV).
How will The Macallan Harmony VI taste?
The label also hints at the flavor profile. This single malt is said to carry notes of bright lemon and coconut milk, rounded out by sweet oak and tropical fruit in a well-balanced composition.
The release date for the new The Macallan Harmony Collection has not been announced. The Macallan has also not confirmed any details regarding this whisky’s arrival.

We have not spoken to the individuals in the video ourselves, nor can we verify who they are. We describe it as a Chinese whisky because it is released by a Chinese distillery. - Let's keep this factually correct. Pernod Ricard DID NOT release a Chinese whisky. Their first output from The Chuan (the name of the distillery in Sichuan, China) wasn't fit for bottling. What they actually bottled was imported Scotch whisky. This is why the product is called "PURE MALT" and not "Chinese Whisky" - because Pure Malt is not a regulated term - this is not a secret. This was exposed about a week after they released it. There were even videos about their own staff on site admitting it was made from imported whisky - which Pernod Ricard got the lawyers onto to get the video pulled.
