Add Whisky Monkeys as a Google favoriteWhat would you say if we told you that you could win a 35-year-old Macallan? Or a Speyside whisky that’s no less than 55 years old? Douglas Laing is currently running a very special competition. The Scottish bottler and whisky maker is giving away five exclusive whiskies with a combined value of £15,900. And for just £10, you could be in with a chance of winning the collection. Here’s how it works.
Douglas Laing has selected five remarkable whiskies from its exclusive XOP range for this one-of-a-kind competition. These are all rare, well-aged whiskies you won’t come across or get to taste every day—but for a limited time, you could win them for just £10.
And there’s more: each bottle also comes with a handcrafted crystal decanter, a glass and a coaster by Richard Brendon.
Which whiskies can you win?
The collection being given away by Douglas Laing comprises five exceptional single-cask whiskies. The youngest is 30 years old, while the oldest has spent an impressive 55 years maturing in cask. The whiskies come from several different distilleries.
Here they are:
- XOP Macallan 35 Years Old
- XOP Port Dundas 45 Years Old
- XOP Speyside's Finest 55 Years Old
- XOP Cameronbridge 45 Years Old
- XOP Blair Athol 30 Years Old
Each whisky comes from a single cask and is individually numbered and certified by Douglas Laing. The bottles are 70cl.

How do you enter Douglas Laing’s competition?
Douglas Laing’s competition works like a prize draw. Buy one or more tickets for £10 each, and every ticket gives you a chance to win the collection. There are 1,600 tickets available in total.
To enter for a chance to win the whisky collection, you’ll also need to answer a question: Douglas Laing wants to know the year the company was founded. That shouldn’t be too difficult for a true whisky enthusiast.
The competition runs until 11 December 2026, unless all tickets sell out sooner. The draw will take place on 14 December 2026.
Please note: this competition is run by Douglas Laing, not Whisky Monkeys. Before entering, check the official terms and conditions and make sure you’re eligible to enter from your location.

- Hi Yvonne, Thank you for your response and for sharing the video. Unfortunately, the evidence you referred to consists only of two people talking about the whisky, without any explanation or identification. We have not spoken to the individuals in the video ourselves, nor can we verify who they are. We describe it as a Chinese whisky because it is released by a Chinese distillery. As you mentioned, the distillery has chosen to label the product as “pure malt” instead of “Chinese whisky.” Based on that, we do not believe they are doing anything illegal.M0nkey16-11-2025
