From whisky lovers to whisky lovers
The Mythical Beasts whisky range comes from the independent bottler Spiritfilled. This is not just any company that makes whisky. The two owners Ross Archer and Russell Spratley are purebred whisky enthusiasts.
They initially started a company that helps people invest in whisky barrels, something they continue to do successfully to this day. They are constantly on the hunt for barrels containing extraordinary and quality whisky from various distilleries.
They do this for international clients, including large and small companies, as well as for private individuals. This latter group can purchase interesting whisky barrels at a sharp rate and store them securely in the Braeside Bond warehouse.
In addition, they have founded the whisky brand Mythical Beasts out of their love for whisky. The duo discover an incredibly impressive whisky barrel now and then and take it upon themselves to work on it. The barrels they have fallen in love with are the ones they want to share with the world.

Accolades aplenty
At Spiritfilled, the 'nectar of the gods' is only bottled if it is more than just good. The quality of the divine drink must be excellent, and the taste should stand head and shoulders above the rest.
That the gentlemen know a thing or two about this is evident from the many awards they win each year. Last year, for example, the Mythicals Beasts Bruichladdich 13 Year Old whisky from Callejo Wine Barriques won a gold medal.
The same goes for the Caol Ila 13 Year Old whisky and the Mannochmore 15 Year Old. Over the years, a couple of medals have consistently been taken back to the bottler, testifying to the high quality of the whisky.
Pure luxury on the shelf
Spiritfilled allows people to taste special whiskies from well-known distilleries. The independent bottler originally started with a 12-year-old Caol Ila from a Pedro Ximénez barrel.
This, like the rest of the Islay whiskies, features the mythical Qilin as a gold line drawing on the bottle and the tube. This is not just a fantastic piece of art that you can keep admiring.
It also gives the bottle and the tube a luxurious look that makes the bottle stand out among the rest of the labels. This is a feature all the Mythical Beasts bottles share.

Unique whiskies
The Mythical Beasts whiskies that Spiritfilled bottles are predominantly unique expressions. The bottler works with single cask bottlings, meaning there is only one barrel of the whisky.
This is often bottled at cask strength, which makes the edition limited. There are usually around 200 hand-numbered bottles, and then it's gone. This ensures that the whisky is unique and holds high collectible value.
Very attractively priced
Considering the whiskies from Mythical Beasts are each one-of-a-kind and are bottled in limited quantities, you might expect a high price tag per bottle.
Especially considering that the whiskies generally have an age statement and are bottled at cask strength. But the price set on the bottles is in fact very sharp.
You can get a bottle of Mythical Beasts for about 76 pounds. This would be a Tomatin 11 Year Old whisky. Higher ages come with a higher price tag, but even for a 24-year-old Port Dundas whisky, that's just 150 pounds (around 180 euros).
You can find Mythical Beasts whiskies at various liquor stores and you can order the whisky from the website.

- Hi Yvonne, Thank you for your response and for sharing the video. Unfortunately, the evidence you referred to consists only of two people talking about the whisky, without any explanation or identification. We have not spoken to the individuals in the video ourselves, nor can we verify who they are. We describe it as a Chinese whisky because it is released by a Chinese distillery. As you mentioned, the distillery has chosen to label the product as “pure malt” instead of “Chinese whisky.” Based on that, we do not believe they are doing anything illegal.M0nkey16-11-2025
