Old Pulteney is marking a remarkable milestone: the distillery turns 200. For two centuries, this single malt Scotch whisky has been crafted in Wick, on the rugged shores of the Scottish Highlands. To celebrate this special anniversary, a whisky has already been released, but there’s more on the way.

What makes this whisky stand out is its double finishing. It first matured in American oak ex-bourbon casks. The single malt was then finished in two types of sherry casks: Manzanilla and Oloroso. This combination is a first for Old Pulteney.

Expect flavors of vanilla, citrus, spiced dried fruit, crème caramel, and salted chocolate. That signature coastal character still shines through, with a hint of coastal spice lingering in the finish.
