The Scottish distillery has now released the ninth edition of its whisky series with The Macallan Classic Cut 2025. The series has existed since 2017 and receives a special new version each year.

For this year's version, a blend of sherry-seasoned European and American oak, as well as ex-bourbon casks for extra complexity, was used. The new whisky is bottled at 50.6 percent alcohol by volume (ABV).

Given its unique character and depth of flavor, the whisky is described by The Macallan as 'anything but classic.'
