England. Not for the World Cup, but because Spirit of Yorkshire Distillery has turned 10. And how else to mark the occasion than with whisky? The
Filey Bay 10th Anniversary Special Release has arrived.
This new whisky is a limited-edition Yorkshire single malt drawn from the distillery’s early years. It even includes a touch from the distillery’s Cask 001, filled on 14 June 2016.
Limited whisky from ex-Bourbon and ex-Madeira casks
According to the distillery, this new release celebrates a decade of craftsmanship in Hunmanby, where the team has, from day one, milled, mashed, fermented, distilled, matured, and bottled on site.
The single malt is a marriage of ex-Bourbon and ex-Madeira casks. Alongside spirit from the distillery’s first years, it features components from various vintages. Expect a balance of sweet and spicy notes.
