Teeling Whiskey Distillery Exclusive 20 Year Old Loupiac Cask

Do you love Irish whiskey and feel like trying something different from the Teeling Distillery stable? Then there’s good news. The distillery is launching a new whiskey—and it’s a remarkable 20-year-old!

It’s called Teeling Distillery Exclusive 20 Year Old Loupiac Cask. You might be wondering what Loupiac is. It’s a lesser-known dessert wine from Bordeaux. This new whiskey was first matured in an ex-bourbon cask before being transferred to a Loupiac wine cask.

Teeling is thrilled with the whiskey and writes: ‘ This rare whiskey was hand-selected by our Distillery team who were captured by it's distinct notes of nectarine, burnt honey and berry jam quality.’

The exact tasting notes are as follows:

Nose: Honey, caramel biscuit, nectarine, and lemon curd.

Palate: Ginger, baked pear, dried apricot, honey, and sweet bready malt.

Finish: Sweet vanilla oak, toasted honey, berry jam, and caramelized citrus.

The whiskey is bottled at 53.3% ABV. If you want one, you’ll need to move fast—the new Teeling release is extremely limited. Only 240 bottles are available.
